Redis Labs gathers their global user community every year for a multi-day conference of learning and networking. As COVID-19 raised concern over large gatherings, organizers decided to take RedisConf 2020 virtual rather than risk attendee health and safety. With eight weeks to conference day, plans were adjusted to move all attendees, speakers, content, and engagement online.
To deliver a full event experience for online attendees, Redis developed a custom virtual world where attendees could gather, interact, explore, enjoy, and learn. During the two-day event, over 4000 attendees from 103 countries engaged in conference activities.
